DIY: T-shirt Scarf

What you will need:

  • Clean cotton t-shirt (the bigger, the better. I used an adult XL)
  • Scissors

Cut the t-shirt horizontally, all the way across, starting and ending underneath the armpits. Now, do the same at the bottom of the shirt, cutting right above the hemline.

Now, cut the “body” of the shirt into strips (horizontally) that are about 1.5 to 2 inches thick.

Pull the strips like you would a rubber band so that they curl into themselves.

Using extra fabric from the t-shirt, make a strip and wrap it around all of the pulled strips. Tuck the ends into the wrap.
